Rumours are growing that Universal is close to signing a deal for Mamma Mia! 2, an Abba-themed sequel to the most successful film ever at the UK box office. The movie made Universal £69.05m in Britain alone. Meryl Streep has blurted out her desire to work on a second film based on the musical, but could Universal double its takings if Pierce Brosnan promises he won’t?
